Job summary

IMF COMPC Communications Department seeks a visually oriented data storyteller who transforms charts and data from IMF research into clear infographics for IMF Blog, Country Focus, F&D, and the Weekend Read. You will work with economists, researchers, authors, and editors to present complex topics accessibly while upholding IMF brand standards.

This is a one-year contract renewable for up to four years, emphasizing original visual concepts, dashboards, and analytics.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree or equivalent with focus on communications, graphic design, or data visualization.
• Six+ years of relevant professional experience accepted in lieu of advanced degree.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator is essential.
• Ability to work from spreadsheets and build charts independently.
• Portfolio demonstrating clear translation of data into visuals.

Responsibilities

• Transform charts, graphs and data into clear, compelling visuals for IMF Blog, Country Focus, F&D, and Weekend Read.
• Develop original visual concepts, infographics and dashboards to support key messages.
• Collaborate with economists, researchers, authors and editors to present findings accurately.
