Job summary

Xcel Energy offers an internship spanning Financial Data Governance, Data Visualization, and Process Automation. You will help gather data, generate visual insights, assist with dashboards, and contribute to automation projects using Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps.

You will collaborate with IT partners and internal customers in a hybrid work setting. The program targets students in CS/Data Science and related fields, with a May 24, 2027 start date and potential extensions based on

Qualifications

Enrolled in accredited college/university pursuing an undergraduate degree in CS, data science, MIS, or related field.
Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours/week) and part-time during the school year (up to 20 hours/week) per hybrid policy.
Experience with data analytics tools; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Support system administrator for financial/accounting systems and maintain and update financial master data.
Document and maintain procedures, process guides, and supporting materials to enhance consistency and compliance.
Ability to access, manage, transfer, integrate and analyze complex datasets.
Develop, manage, and support automation project.
Collaborate with team members and internal stakeholders.
