Job summary

Xcel Energy in Denver is seeking a Data Governance, Visualization and Automation Intern to support the CFO Organization's Financial Data Governance, Data Visualization, and Process Automation teams. The role may involve gathering data, analyzing it, creating dashboards and improving automation to streamline business processes.

You will work with tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint and Teams, collaborating with IT partners and internal customers.

Qualifications

Current Student, Junior status (as of Fall 2027) or higher.
Enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing an undergraduate degree in computer science, computer engineering, data science, computer information systems, management information systems, business computer information systems, or a related technology or business field.
Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week) / part time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week) and commuting to the designated work location in-person, per hybrid work policy.

Responsibilities

Support data governance, visualization, and automation initiatives.
Gather and analyze data, create visual insights, and support dashboards.
Assist with automation projects and process improvements.
Collaborate with team members and internal stakeholders.
Work with IT partners and internal customers using Office, SharePoint, Teams, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps and other automation platforms.
