Job summary

The City of Worcester is seeking a Data Analyst for the Worcester Fire Department to administer and improve technology systems, data reporting, and mobile solutions. You will liaison with DoIT, GIS, and vendors to optimize operations and provide end-user support.

Bilingual applicants are encouraged, with a focus on developing dashboards, Excel-based reports, and GIS-enabled insights to support public safety decisions.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in IT, CS, or related field.
• 2+ years in technical support, systems administration, data analysis, or business systems.
• Experience with enterprise software and data reporting tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and support RMS, permitting, SharePoint, reporting, mobile apps, and enterprise software.
• Lead tech implementation projects from planning to deployment with training and support.
• Develop reports, dashboards, data visualizations, and statistical reports from SQL-based sources.
• Collect, analyze, and submit data to agencies while ensuring compliance.
• Evaluate processes and develop tech solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual work.
• Serve as liaison between Fire Department, DoIT, GIS, City departments, and vendors.
• Provide end-user support for devices, software, and AV equipment; coordinate issues with DoIT.
• Maintain SharePoint sites, internal pages, forms, workflows, and collaboration resources.
• Create documentation and training materials; deliver tech training to staff.
• Coordinate hardware/software evaluations, inventory, and lifecycle planning.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies to enhance operations.
