The Data Technician Lead will be responsible for the physical installation of cabling, overseeing the work of others, surveying work sites to determine best installation practices, coordinating workflow within the unit, and providing on-the-job training to other technicians as needed.

Essential Functions
  1. Lead technical teams of varying sizes on small- and large-scale projects.
  2. Communicate with Project Manager on manpower and material needs.
  3. Communicate with clients and customers.
  4. Serve as a liaison between the office and field, sharing non-confidential information.
  5. Develop project plans including required materials, delivery schedules, completion schedules, manpower requirements, and tool/equipment lists.
  6. Manage tracking of tools and materials to prevent loss.
  7. Adhere to safety protocols and complete documentation.
  8. Maintain housekeeping for a safe jobsite.
  9. Coordinate with other trades on the jobsite.
  10. Monitor project schedules and milestones, providing progress updates.
  11. Read and understand all applicable drawings, including architectural, AV, electrical (related to telecom), reflected ceiling, telecommunications, and overall site plans.
Minimum Qualifications
  1. Effective communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  2. Proficiency in construction-related software (e.g., PlanGrid, Bluebeam).
  3. Ability to assertively and professionally coordinate with other trades.
  4. Conflict resolution skills.
  5. Ability to foster a team environment.
  6. Strong understanding of blueprints and architectural symbols.
  7. Knowledge of firestopping principles related to telecom pathways.
  8. Familiarity with MS Office Suite and other relevant software (Excel, Outlook, Word, Bluebeam).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  1. All T1/T2/T3 requirements.
  2. OSHA 30 certification (preferred), or OSHA 10 minimum.
  3. Aerial lift certification.
  4. Fall protection certification/training.
Physical Demands

Spends over two-thirds of time standing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, using hands, and reaching. Walking and talking/hearing constitute about one-third of the time. Frequently lifts items weighing 25-50 pounds, with occasional lifts over 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities.

Work Environment

Work involves proximity to forklifts and heavy machinery, use of various tools and hardware, and may include driving to project sites. Conditions may vary, including exposure to weather extremes.
