We’re seeking experienced senior tradespeople with railroad construction experience. This is a travel position across the Eastern US, with a schedule of 3 weeks on, 1 week off.

Your role will include outdoor physical labor, equipment operation, and technical tasks, contributing to rail infrastructure enhancement and protection. The position offers ongoing learning opportunities, including shotcrete operation and mix design to ensure precise application with minimal waste.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a Superintendent and team to complete work efficiently, safely, and correctly.
  • Operate in your specialty but assist with other tasks to ensure project success.
  • Travel across the US on varying schedules depending on location and project needs.
  • Learn new skills in machinery, soils technology, techniques, leadership, and problem-solving.

Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain required certifications.
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.
  • Proficiency in all essential functions of a Railroad Stabilization Technician.
  • 3+ years of shotcrete or civil construction concrete experience.
  • Expertise in shotcrete pump operation, with precise and efficient application.
  • Understanding of mix design principles for optimal performance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Experience working outdoors in all conditions and traveling for work.

Work Environment

  • Varied climates from tropical to desert environments.
  • Moderate noise levels, with hearing protection often required.
  • Exposure to typical construction site hazards.
  • Heavy lifting of materials (75lbs+).

Up to 100% travel across the U.S.

Compensation

  • Wage range: $24 - $26/hour, based on experience.
  • Overtime paid for all positions.
  • 100% paid travel expenses.
