The Department of Community Services, Survey Section is looking for a full-time Data Technician! In the Multnomah County Surveyor's Office, our work starts with the Data Technician. Your job as the Data Technician is of the utmost importance because you serve as the first point of contact to the public and maintain the information the public interacts with through our Survey and Assessor Image Locator (SAIL). We are seeking individuals who can process work submitted for review, perform basic GIS functions, as well as provide support for the County Surveyor's Office. You are a technical assistant but also have great soft skills providing excellent customer service via phone, in person and email. You have the ability to work in a highly flexible, team-oriented environment and have exceptional communication, analytical and organizational skills.

Type of Position: This hourly, union-represented position is eligible for overtime. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (Telework - Monday & Friday, In‑office - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) Location: Yeon Complex - 1600 SE 190th Avenue, Portland, OR 97233 Telework: At this time, this position is designated for “hybrid telework,” meaning you will be working on‑site some of the time and remotely (from home) at other times. The designation of hybrid telework may be subject to change at a future time. Currently, all employees must reside in Oregon or Washington; the county cannot support ongoing telework from other locations.
