Job summary

New York City Department of Education is seeking a Data & Systems Specialist to coordinate data across procurement systems and support reporting for contracts and services. The role reports to the Senior Director of Systems and Data and collaborates with OSD, DIIT, CPS, CTS, and other offices.

The position emphasizes data quality, process improvement, and cross-unit collaboration to produce dashboards and indicators for public reporting. Strong analytical and Office 365 skills are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education, guidance, educational administration or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 1 year of relevant experience.
• High school diploma plus 5 years of relevant experience.
• Combination of education and experience meeting the above.

Responsibilities

• Compiles data, analyzes and interprets information for internal and external stakeholders.
• Develops training guides and maintains procedures for staff.
• Manages data entry and tracking across multiple procurement systems.
• Provides data reporting to Mayor’s Office and procurement indicators.
• Liaises with multiple internal and external units to ensure data quality.
