Job summary

Henry County Schools is seeking a Lead, Data Systems to manage SQL queries, reporting, and data governance within the Accountability division. The role focuses on optimizing Infinite Campus data usage and producing district-wide reports for leadership and compliance.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and at least two years of SQL experience, with preference for experience in K-12 education and proficiency in SSRS/Tableau. On-site work and strong documentation skills are expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop reports with Campus Analytics, SSRS, or Tableau from the Infinite Campus database.
• Build and deploy custom forms in Infinite Campus to capture district data points.
• Fulfill data extraction requests for district leadership and compliance reporting.
• Collaborate with data analytics team to maintain data governance and standards.
• Document data flows and SOPs; track data issues and resolutions.
• Support data audits and compliance for federal, state, and local reporting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and custom views directly utilizing the Infinite Campus schema.
• Develop advanced custom reports using Campus Analytics, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or Tableau pulling from the Infinite Campus database.
• Build and deploy custom forms within Infinite Campus to capture unique district data points, utilizing Campus Workflow or custom HTML/CSS/JavaScript where applicable.
• Fulfill complex data extraction requests for district and school leadership, state and federal reporting compliance, and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the data analytics team to maintain data governance and enforce data standardization.
• Maintain documentation of data flows, systems, and processes that allows for tracking of data issues and resolutions in the development of standard operating procedures.
• Support data audits and compliance processes necessary to ensure the accurate and efficient delivery of required data metrics for federal, state, and local reporting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data analytics, information systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of two (2) years of SQL experience. This includes advanced proficiency in SQL with deep understanding of relational database design, joins, subqueries, and indexing.
• Direct experience navigating and querying Infinite Campus core tables preferred.
• Experience working within a K-12 education environment is highly preferred.
• Strong written communication skills for developing standard operating procedure documentation.
• Ability to learn quickly and thrive in fast-paced environment.
