Job summary

Fort Bend ISD seeks a Data Systems Analyst to design and manage districtwide stakeholder engagement and experience management systems. You will develop surveys, dashboards, and reporting tools to translate stakeholder voice into actionable insights for decision-making.

The role involves analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, creating interactive reporting systems, and collaborating with departments to drive data-driven improvements across the district.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; master's preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting using quantitative and/or qualitative methods.
• Minimum of 3 years experience designing and administering surveys for research, evaluation, or organizational improvement purposes.
• Minimum of 3 years experience developing dashboards or data visualizations to communicate findings to leadership or stakeholders.
• Experience with statistical software such as SPSS, R, STATA, or comparable programs.
• Proficiency with Qualtrics or comparable enterprise survey platforms, including survey design, workflow automation, and dashboard reporting.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or comparable software.
• Knowledge of survey methodology, research design, and program evaluation principles.
• Strong understanding of data privacy regulations and ethical data use practices (FERPA).
• Knowledge of K-12 education systems, accountability structures, and continuous improvement frameworks preferred.
• Ability to analyze and synthesize data from multiple sources into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Highly organized with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and build positive working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Design, administer, and manage survey platforms (Qualtrics) for district initiatives and planning.
• Develop dashboards and data visualizations to communicate findings to leadership and staff.
• Prepare reports for division leadership, district staff, and the Board of Trustees as needed.
• Assist with ad hoc data requests and maintain organized data records.
• Support program evaluations and research studies to inform improvements.
• Collaborate with departments to align data collection with district goals.
• Stay current on survey methodology and data analytics best practices.
