Job summary

Relevance Lab is seeking a senior data leader to define and drive the organization's data vision and strategy in support of business goals. You will lead cross-functional teams and partner with executives to realize data-driven value across digital transformation initiatives.

The role requires hands-on experience with data platforms, strong governance practices, and the ability to translate technical concepts into strategic business outcomes. On-site in San Francisco, with global collaboration.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data engineering, data strategy, or digital transformation roles.
• Proven track record leading a major data or digital transformation end-to-end.
• Strong understanding of how data is structured, organized, modeled, and managed.
• Experience designing data operating models and enterprise data strategies.
• Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms, preferably Snowflake.
• AI and machine learning knowledge, ability to identify use cases and embed ML in processes.
• Strong program and project management skills across global teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to influence at all levels.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Define and articulate the organization's data vision and strategy in alignment with business objectives.
• Identify key data initiatives that support digital transformation efforts and drive business value.
• Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of data projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
• Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies to manage multiple data initiatives simultaneously.
• Design and implement a robust data operating model that encompasses governance, architecture, and management practices.
• Establish processes for data collection, storage, processing, and analysis to ensure data integrity and security.
• Collaborate with business leaders to understand data needs and align with strategic goals.
• Communicate data strategy and initiatives to executive leadership.
• Develop metrics and KPIs to assess effectiveness of data initiatives and the overall data strategy.
• Continuously monitor and refine the data strategy based on performance insights.
