Job summary

Stater Bros. Markets, Inc. seeks a Data Strategist (Level 3) to lead analytics initiatives as part of the Center of Excellence. You will drive enterprise data strategy roadmaps, deliver complex BI applications, and promote data-driven decision-making across the organization.

You will mentor junior teammates, foster data literacy, and ensure governance standards while partnering with business leaders to realize strategy goals. This is an on-site IT role based in San Bernardino.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 4+ years of data analytics and BI experience.
• Experience coaching or mentoring junior team members.
• Expert knowledge of BI frameworks, data analysis, core metrics, and visualization.
• Proven experience gathering requirements and delivering BI apps and data products.
• Ability to translate data concepts for non-technical audiences and influence decisions.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and security in analytics environments.
• Strong project management and cross-functional facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor junior Data Strategists, aligning with COE strategy and objectives.
• Partner with business leaders to apply data analytics to strategic goals.
• Lead development and execution of data strategy roadmaps and analytics initiatives.
• Promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation across the organization.
• Advocate data literacy and self-service analytics; lead training and change management.
• Monitor analytics impact and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with COE leaders for integrated data projects.
• Advocate for data-driven decisions across the organization.
• Plan projects to produce reports and data-driven insights.
• Ideate, gather requirements, and deliver BI applications and data products.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
