Job summary

A leading data solutions company is seeking a Data Strategy & Automation Specialist to support a large-scale data modernization effort. This fully remote position involves building and optimizing Power BI dashboards, integrating cloud data, and automating reporting workflows. Ideal candidates will have proven experience with Power BI and cloud environments like Azure. Additional experience with Databricks, Synapse, or Snowflake is beneficial. Job description

Base pay range

$55.00/hr - $60.00/hr

100% remote. Must work EST hours.

Must be able to work on W2 without sponsorship now or in the future.

We’re hiring a Data Strategy & Automation Specialist to support a large-scale data modernization effort. This role blends Power BI, cloud data integration, and reporting automation to deliver scalable, high-impact analytics across complex data environments.

What You’ll Do

• Build and optimize Power BI dashboards using strong data modeling and DAX
• Partner with data engineers to integrate data from SQL, APIs, and cloud platforms
• Automate reporting workflows using cloud-based workflow tools
• Support reporting during platform transitions and modernization initiatives
• Improve data quality, performance, and self-service analytics

What We’re Looking For

• Proven Power BI experience (DAX, Power Query, data modeling)
• Experience in cloud environments (Azure preferred)
• Hands‑on exposure to automation and workflow optimization
• Comfortable working with multiple data sources and ambiguity

Nice to Have

• Databricks, Synapse, or Snowflake exposure
• Experience with data pipelines, migrations, or operational reporting
