Job summary

Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City is seeking a Data Management Specialist to act as the business SME for supervisory data, ensuring reliability and consistency to support analytics, BI, and informed decision-making.

The role advances data governance and data management maturity, partnering with CDP, CEP, and System IT to enhance data catalogs, quality, access, and governance for current and future AI use cases. This is a full-time onsite position across multiple districts.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant data management experience including exposure to data quality assessment, monitoring, or remediation.
• Bachelor's degree with specialization in an information technology field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience identifying business challenges and priorities, crafting a functional plan of action with defined metrics, and delivering value.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key business SME for supervisory data, ensuring it is reliable, accurate, complete, and consistent to support business intelligence and decision-making.
• Define and implement data quality rules, metrics, and monitoring processes for supervisory data.
• Develop deep subject matter expertise in S&R examination data to inform data quality standards and support the positioning of supervisory data for future AI use cases.
• Partner with S&R stakeholders, CDP, CEP, and System IT teams to establish scalable data management solutions and support models that reduce risk and increase efficiency, including metadata catalogs and data taxonomies.
• Serve as a SME and consultant for data governance, standards, practices, and tooling, focusing on data quality assessment and continuous improvement.
• As the role matures, support broader data management initiatives, including data policy implementation and access management discussions.
