Job summary

Selective is seeking a Data Steward to ensure data within their domain is clearly defined, trusted, and governed for business and regulatory needs. You will collaborate with stakeholders and IT to promote data-driven practices and maintain data quality across enterprise assets.

The role emphasizes building a data catalog, defining KDEs, and delivering governance training to enhance data literacy and adoption across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Implements data governance policies and standards with regulatory alignment.
• Defines data quality expectations, monitors quality, and collaborates with IT on issues.
• Builds and curates a data catalog with ownership, definitions and metadata.
• Consults on projects from a governance perspective and guides data-related changes.
• Defines and maintains metadata for KDEs and related data assets.
• Develops training and data literacy programs for stakeholders.
• Evangelizes data governance to elevate data reliability across the domain.
