Job summary

Impact Makers, Inc. in Richmond, VA is seeking an Enterprise Data Steward to ensure quality and governance of enterprise data assets. You will partner with business and technical teams to define standards, policies, and governance practices that enable trusted data.

The ideal candidate has deep data management knowledge and collaborates with stakeholders at all levels, including non-technical users. Experience with Collibra or similar platforms is a strong asset.

Qualifications

• The candidate has a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in information management or related field.
• 5+ years hands-on experience in data management, governance, quality, or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, metadata, quality, master data management, and lineage.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and drive tasks to completion.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME and primary contact for enterprise data governance, quality, and management across data domains.
• Establish and maintain data definitions, dictionaries, lineage, and metadata standards.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to identify, assess, and resolve data quality issues.
• Facilitate governance meetings and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Build trusted relationships with owners, data consumers, and IT to promote governance adoption.
• Administer and maintain Collibra workflows, glossary, catalog, and policy management.
• Support data stewardship activities including access management and issue triage.
• Partner with data architects, engineers, and analysts to embed governance in pipelines and products.
• Provide guidance and training on governance policies, standards, and tools.
