Job summary

QED Systems Inc. in the Norfolk area seeks a Data Specialist/Administrator to ensure operations of all computers supporting MU and 3-M/365 efforts, interfacing with Regional Maintenance Centers, Ship’s Force, System Commands, and TYCOM Staff on maintenance software issues.

Requires 5+ years Navy IT maintenance experience and 10+ years overall Navy processes, plus 3+ years supervising 100+ networked PCs; familiarity with OMMS, AWN, SKED, VSB, MFOM. U.S. citizenship and SECRET clearance required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years recent experience with U.S. Navy maintenance processes and working with U.S. Navy maintenance IT systems.
• Minimum of ten (10) years experience with U.S. Navy maintenance processes and working with U.S. Navy maintenance IT systems in lieu of degree.
• Three (3) years recent experience in managing and maintaining at least 100 networked computers, including software installation and upgrades, routine maintenance, and updating of the installed databases and LAN systems to support classroom training.
• Experience working with key Navy maintenance programs including OMMS, AWN, SKED, VSB, MFOM; as well as some programming knowledge.

Responsibilities

• The Data Specialist/Administrator is responsible for proper operations and workstation performance of all computers used to support MU and 3-M/365 efforts.
• The Data Specialist/Administrator is responsible for interfacing with Regional Maintenance Centers, Ship’s Force, System Commands, and TYCOM Staff on maintenance program software issues concerning performance, upgrade implementation and troubleshooting matters as required
