Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking a senior data solutions engineer to design and implement scalable cloud-based data platforms. You will lead end-to-end data pipelines, model design, and integration with business analytics tools, ensuring security, reliability, and governance across the enterprise data ecosystem.

The role requires deep Azure data stack expertise (Databricks, Unity Catalog), Python/Spark, SQL, and CI/CD practices, plus mentoring teammates and collaborating with business stakeholders to drive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum seven years of experience designing and delivering enterprise data solutions.
• Hands-on experience with the Azure data stack, including Databricks and Unity Catalog.
• Proficiency in architecting data models and developing complex data pipelines using Python/Spark and SQL.
• Experience with Git repositories and CI/CD processes, plus data consumption platforms and analytics tools like Power BI and Power Platform.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills across technical and business teams.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement scalable data solutions across cloud-based platforms from design to deployment.
• Build, optimize, and support resilient data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
• Develop and maintain logical and physical data models for reporting and analytics.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs and manage dependencies.
• Ensure alignment with architecture standards and governance; develop reusable data assets and frameworks.
• Mentor data engineers, establish development/testing/deployment standards, and document processes.
