Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking a Senior Associate, Data Engineer in its Consulting practice. You will design and implement large-scale data solutions in Databricks, help migrate to cloud data warehouses, and translate requirements into actionable analytics and visualizations.

You will lead small workstreams, partner with clients, and communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders. Strong Databricks/Cloud experience and US work authorization are required.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of experience in cloud data lake/warehouse roles (architect, designer, developer, data scientist or AI/ML engineer).
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, CS or related field from an accredited college/university.
• Experience leading cloud modernization and data migrations on Databricks and related platforms.
• Hands-on knowledge of data security, ELT, data wrangling and cloud computing; proficiency in data integration/EAI and DB technologies.
• Strong communication; able to work with technical and business clients; Databricks certification preferred.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with technical design and development activities and lead a small workstream for implementation of large-scale data solutions in Databricks to support multiple use cases.
• Support design and development of technology and data architectures to support client solutions leveraging best practices for cloud data warehouse migrations.
• Capture and translate business and technical requirements, perform hypothesis-driven consulting and lead project management and client relationship development.
• Translate advanced business data, integration and analytics problems into technical approaches and educate others through design and build of insightful visualizations, reports and presentations.
• Exhibit strong knowledge of the Databricks ecosystem and clearly articulate the value proposition of cloud modernization/transformation to a wide range of stakeholders.
