Aretum is seeking a Data Solution Engineer to deliver data pipelines and governance for pilot and production workflows. You will implement end-to-end data processing across bronze, silver, and gold layers, ensuring protection policies and metadata standards are applied consistently.

Remote-friendly role, requiring U.S. work authorization and the ability to handle controlled data within a federal contracting framework. 3–5 years of experience with Databricks, Spark, and YAML is expected.

Qualifikationen

• BS/BA degree required; 3–5 years of data engineering experience.
• Hands-on with Databricks, Spark, and YAML.
• Experience designing data governance, tagging, and metadata standards.
• Comfort implementing data protection policies and access controls.

Aufgaben

• Develop, test and implement data pipelines in Databricks using SQL, Python, and Spark.
• Build and maintain data pipelines across bronze, silver, and gold medallion layers.
• Apply data governance tagging, metadata standards, and Unity Catalog classifications.
• Implement column masking, access controls, and reference data lookups.
• Define deployments using YAML and code practices for repeatability.
• Conduct data quality testing to ensure accuracy and compliance with contracts.
• Reconcile stakeholder requirements and communicate trade-offs.
• Strong SQL and Spark, with declarative pipeline configuration in YAML.
