NextEra Energy is seeking a highly motivated Data Scientist to join our AMI 2.0 initiative, focusing on disaggregation models and grid insights from smart meter data. You will work with cross-functional teams to transform meter data into actionable intelligence supporting grid modernization and business growth.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in machine learning and advanced analytics.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL for data analysis and model development.
  • Experience with time series analysis and signal processing techniques.
  • Knowledge of utility operations and smart grid technologies preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develops machine learning, optimization and other modeling solutions.
  • Prepares comprehensive documented observations, analyses and interpretations of results including technical reports, summaries, protocols and quantitative analyses.
  • Works with datasets including timeseries data and big data on distributed computing platforms.
  • Writes software in R, Python or similar languages and contributes code to product development teams.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Develop analytics frameworks for program sales optimization.
