Job summary

UL Solutions is seeking a Data Scientist to deliver insights and analytics that guide business decisions. You will partner with stakeholders, data engineering, and development teams to analyze complex datasets, build visualizations, and develop predictive models.

The role requires a Master’s degree and 3–5 years of data analytics experience, with strong SQL, Python, R, and visualization skills in Power BI or Tableau. You will work in an Agile environment and collaborate across teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in data analytics or data science roles.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and R.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools, including data modeling and DAX.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Azure DevOps.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
• Understanding of statistical methods and probability theory.

Responsibilities

• Deliver data-driven insights to support business decision-making.
• Build visualizations and dashboards using Power BI or Tableau.
• Develop predictive models and apply ML techniques when appropriate.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align analytics with business objectives.
• Document requirements and translate needs into BRDs and user stories.
• Collaborate with data engineering and development teams to support analytics pipelines.
