Job summary

JANSON seeks a Data Scientist – Predictive Analytics to advance Army logistics through data science, predictive models, and emerging AI capabilities. You will prepare data, develop and evaluate models, and maintain analytics products under senior scientists.

Proficiency with Palantir Foundry and GenAI tools is expected. This early-career role requires an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one, with some preparatory unclassified work during clearance processing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science or related quantitative field.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience (internships, projects count).
• Foundational statistics, supervised learning, model evaluation workflows.
• Python and SQL with Pandas/Scikit-learn experience.
• Ability to document work and explain findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist with building, testing, and refining predictive models for logistics use cases.
• Clean, validate, organize structured/unstructured data and support feature engineering.
• Learn and use Palantir Foundry to support data pipelines, dashboards, and analytics products.
• Run experiments, compare model performance, document results, and address issues.
• Draft technical documentation, job aids, and training materials for analytics tools.
• Perform updates, version-control, and maintenance for analytics products.
• Collaborate in technical reviews and communicate progress, risks to the project team.
