TikTok in San Jose is hiring a Data Scientist (PGC) to analyze user behavior, product features, and the content ecosystem. You will work with Product, Operations, Engineering, and ML teams to translate data insights into actionable business recommendations and help grow the PGC initiatives.

Responsibilities include designing tests, maintaining metrics and dashboards, supporting strategy evaluation, and delivering clear findings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in a relevant field.
• 1+ years of experience in data analysis or data science.
• Proficient in SQL; able to use Python or R for data processing, basic modeling, and visualization.
• Strong structured thinking and ability to break business problems into testable questions.
• Good communication skills and ability to present analytical findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Participate in data analysis across PGC content and product areas to identify testable questions and growth opportunities.
• Support the design and maintenance of core metrics, dashboards, and analytical definitions.
• Partner with Product, Operations, Algorithm, and Engineering teams to support strategy evaluation and optimization.
• Contribute to A/B test design and result analysis; evaluate product features and changes.
• Validate hypotheses through analysis and experimentation; translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Drive analytical workstreams and grow toward independent ownership of product domains.
