Job summary

TikTok is seeking a Data Science Intern (Product) for Summer 2027 in San Jose. You will join the TikTok-DataScience team to define success metrics, perform quantitative analysis, and aid product optimization through experimentation and data mining.

This internship offers hands-on experience, with opportunities to collaborate with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams, and to build practical skills for a career in data science within a global tech company.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Undergraduate/ Master’s in Data Science or a related field.
• Proficient in data querying languages and at least one scripting language (e.g. Python, R).
• Experience in forecasting, statistical and causal inference, or classification methods.

Responsibilities

• Define success metrics to measure product growth and identify problems through monitoring or forecasting
• Apply technical expertise with quantitative analysis, experimentation, data mining to develop strategies for product optimizations
• Quantify the impact of strategies through causal inference and generate actionable insights through deep dive analysis
• Partner with Product, Engineering and cross-functional teams to influence and execute product strategy
