Iron EagleX is seeking a Data Scientist-Mid to join the Intelligence Data Science Team supporting USSOCOM at MacDill AFB, FL. You will develop data-driven solutions, perform predictive modeling, and evaluate new data sources to support national security missions.

Requires TS/SCI clearance, 5–8 years of related experience, and a Bachelor's in a relevant field. On-site work 5 days a week with comprehensive total rewards and benefits.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Data Scientist-Mid will support Defense & Intelligence Programs at U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) located at MacDill AFB, FL in the Intelligence Data Science Team.

JOB DUTIES (INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO)

• Contribute to completion of specific programs and projects.
• Develop data-driven solutions to complex business challenges.
• Utilizes advanced tools and computational skills to interpret, connect, predict, and make discoveries in data.
• Evaluate the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and gathering techniques.
• Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experience, efficiencies, process improvements, and other business outcomes.
• Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
• May develop processes and machine learning based tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• May coach and review the work of less experienced professionals.
• Works independently under general supervision

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Proficiency in Python and Bash, including API development and data manipulation.
• Familiarity with SQL and large-scale systems such as PostgreSQL, Hive, or Trino.
• Basic understanding of ML concepts and familiarity with Flask or FastAPI.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Clearance: Current DoW TS/SCI Clearance required.
• Experience: 5-8 years of related experience, including academic or internship-based data science work.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• Certifications: None required; cloud or ML-related certifications preferred.
• Role requirements: On-Site 5 days
• Due to US Government Contract Requirements, only US Citizens are eligible for this role

The likely salary range for this position is $114,750 - $155,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
