What You'll Be Doing:

  • Design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning models and algorithms to improve our prior authorization platforms.
  • Construct advanced SQL queries, perform preprocessing, feature engineering, and transformations to analyze healthcare data and ensure high-quality input for model training.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to integrate and deploy ML models into development and production environments across various locations in the US and India.
  • Work closely with clinicians and stakeholders to develop, evaluate, and improve ML models.
  • Coordinate with Infrastructure and Architecture teams to enhance model efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
  • Leverage Azure DevOps for CI/CD of ML models.
  • Lead Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) to streamline deployment, maintenance, and monitoring of ML models, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform data mining to uncover insights, inform decision-making, and drive automation strategies.
  • Implement feature flagging for rapid pilot testing, exception handling, and performance optimization.
  • Translate complex technical details into clear insights for stakeholders through data storytelling.
  • Stay current with advancements in ML and AI, testing and integrating new techniques into applications.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field; Master's or Ph.D. preferred.
  • Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks/libraries such as Keras, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, XGBoost.
  • Expertise in statistical methods, data structures, algorithms, feature engineering, and data mining.
  • At least 2 years of advanced experience in SQL, including writing complex queries.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a cloud environment (AWS, GCS, Azure) and source control (GitHub, CI/CD).
  • Experience working within an Agile environment.
  • Proven experience deploying ML systems into production.
  • Healthcare experience, especially with administrative and prior authorization data, with a passion for solving healthcare problems.
  • Ability to solve ambiguous and complex problems, breaking them down into manageable components and developing innovative solutions.
  • Experience collaborating with Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, and Architecture teams.
  • Proficiency with Azure cloud services, Azure ML Studio, and Azure MLOps is preferred.
  • Experience with deep learning, reinforcement learning, NLP, and LLMs is preferred.
  • Feature flagging experience is preferred.
  • Publications or contributions to the ML community are a plus.

Technical Requirements:

All employees must have high-speed internet (>10 Mbps) at home. Call center employees should be able to connect directly to their home internet router. These requirements may change with office reopenings.

The base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000. It is eligible for a performance-based bonus. We offer comprehensive benefits, including health insurance. Compensation varies based on skills and experience.
