What You'll Be Doing:

  • Design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning models and algorithms to improve our prior authorization platforms.
  • Construct advanced SQL queries, perform preprocessing, feature engineering, and transformations to analyze healthcare data and ensure high-quality input for model training.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to integrate and deploy ML models into development and production environments across various locations in the US and India.
  • Work closely with clinicians and stakeholders to drive the development, efficacy, and improvement of our ML models.
  • Coordinate with Infrastructure and Architecture teams to enhance model efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
  • Leverage Azure DevOps for CI/CD of ML models.
  • Lead MLOps efforts to streamline deployment, maintenance, monitoring, and improvement of machine learning models.
  • Perform data mining to uncover insights, inform decisions, and identify automation opportunities across platforms.
  • Implement feature flagging for rapid pilot testing, exception handling, and performance optimization.
  • Translate complex technical details into clear insights for stakeholders by storytelling with data.
  • Stay current with ML and AI advancements; test and integrate new techniques into applications.
  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering continuous learning and improvement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related field; Master’s or Ph.D. preferred.
  • Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks/libraries like Keras, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, XGBoost.
  • Expertise in statistical methods, data structures, algorithms, feature engineering, and data mining.
  • At least 2 years of experience in SQL, developing complex queries.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a cloud environment (AWS, GCS, Azure).
  • At least 2 years of experience with GitHub, CI/CD, and source control.
  • Experience working within an Agile environment.
  • Proven experience deploying ML systems into production.
  • Healthcare experience, especially with administrative and prior authorization data, is highly valued.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to navigate ambiguity, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Experience collaborating with Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, and Architecture teams.
  • Proficiency with Azure cloud services, Azure ML Studio, and MLOps preferred.
  • Experience with deep learning, reinforcement learning, NLP, and LLMs is a plus.
  • Experience with feature flagging is a plus.
  • Publications or contributions to the ML community are a plus.

Technical Requirements:

Employees need high-speed internet (>10 Mbps) and, for call center roles, the ability to connect directly to the home router. These requirements may change with office reopenings.

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000, plus potential bonuses based on performance. We offer comprehensive benefits, including health insurance. Compensation varies based on skills and experience.
