The Opportunity

Data Scientist III - FMIC Data Science (DAT Solutions, LLC, Beaverton, OR):

1. Lead research projects and provide mentorship to team members (20%).
2. Collaborate with ML Engineers to turn prototypes into new products (20%).
3. Evaluate existing ML and statistical products for quality and improvements (10%).
4. Continue professional learning in cloud-based data science tools and practices (5%).
5. Review code for data science researchers and ML engineers (20%).
6. Assist product teams in data capture strategies (5%).
7. Build model monitoring tools (10%).
8. Recommend new analytical and research tools to enhance team capabilities (10%).

Required experience includes:

• Proficiency with cloud tools (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Expert-level Python coding skills.
• Experience with Docker, ECR, JFrog, and model deployment.
• Experience in freight/logistics industry data science products.
• On-call incident response for cloud models.
• Experience with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Snowsight.
• End-to-end ML experiment planning.
• Code collaboration on GitHub and code review experience.
• Experience with GenAI and LLM prototypes.
• Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and state-of-the-art techniques.
• Strong understanding of statistics and related tools.
• Advanced SQL skills, including window functions and CTEs.

Educational requirements:

• Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, or related field with at least 3 years of experience, or
• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience.
