Scribd, Inc. is seeking a Data Scientist II for the Applied Research team to design and deploy high-impact AI and ML systems at scale. You’ll work with ML Engineers, Data Engineers, and Product partners to deliver solutions across content enrichment, recommendations, search, and more.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of post-qualification experience developing machine learning models at scale.
• Proficiency in Python and building ML pipelines.
• Experience with distributed processing frameworks (Spark, Databricks) is required.
• Experience with NLP, search or information retrieval is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy ML models for content classification and related use cases.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and Product teams on cross-functional projects.
• Process large datasets using Python, SQL, and Spark.
• Experiment with traditional ML and modern LLM-based approaches and document results clearly.
