Scribd, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Data Scientist II to design and deploy ML systems at scale. You will work with cross-functional teams including ML engineers, data engineers and product, building models using large datasets and language models.

Occasional in-person attendance is required for all Scribd, Inc. employees, including those based in Denver. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of experience, strong Python, Spark, and SQL skills, and a track record of delivering production ML

Qualifications

• 3+ years of post-qualification experience developing ML models, at-scale, production ready.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Hands-on experience building ML pipelines with distributed data processing frameworks like Spark or Databricks.
• Intermediate level in at least three fields: classification, NLP, search, information retrieval, named entity recognition, deep learning, generative models.
• Intermediate level or greater experience with SQL or PySpark.
• Bachelor's or Master's in quantitative field (Statistics, CS, Data Science, AI) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy ML models and AI systems at scale.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and Data Engineers on cross-functional projects.
• Design solutions for content classification, NLP, and model deployment.
• Leverage Scikit-learn, PyTorch, and LLM APIs as needed.
• Process large datasets using Python, SQL, and Spark.
• Document approaches and results for stakeholders.
