Job summary

Hyundai Motor Company’s North American Quality Center (NAQC) seeks a Data Scientist II to join the Strategy and Analysis Team. This role focuses on building data foundations, validating sources, and delivering scalable analytics across QA programs.

You will develop forecasting models, predictive analytics, dashboards (Power BI), and ETL workflows, collaborating with IT and business stakeholders. Excellent Python/SQL skills, data visualization, and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field is required.
• 4+ years of data science or advanced analytics experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with Power BI or Tableau for data visualization.
• Experience handling large, complex datasets and ETL processes.
• Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand and align with the department’s business model and mission.
• Validate data sources, business logic, and reporting methodologies with IT and stakeholders.
• Develop forecasting models to support performance tracking and planning.
• Build and deploy predictive models, including failure rate forecasting and detection.
• Design dashboards and reporting tools to empower business users.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate insights to leadership.
