Job summary

Amazon Science in Bellevue, WA is seeking a Data Scientist to drive the data science roadmap for the CLS Science team. You will apply statistics and econometrics to estimate the causal impact of training interventions and measure post-launch success through A/B testing.

You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, develop scalable data analyses, and deliver insights that influence learning content and learner experiences.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a quantitative field (statistics, math, data science, econ, engineering, CS)
• 3+ years querying languages (SQL) or scripting (Python) or stats software (R, SAS, Matlab)
• 2+ years of data scientist experience with ML or statistical modeling
• Experience applying theoretical models in an applied environment

Responsibilities

• Establish scalable, automated data analyses, model development and validation.
• Use causal inference methods to estimate learning curves and content effectiveness.
• Perform statistical analyses and hypothesis/A/B testing.
• Present insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders and influence business strategy.
