Job summary

Amazon's Central Learning Solutions Science team is seeking a Data Scientist II to drive the data science roadmap for CLS Science, leveraging statistics and causal inference to assess training interventions and their impact on learner profiles.

You will build scalable analyses, perform A/B tests, present findings to stakeholders, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve learning content and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, economics, finance, engineering, or computer science
• 3+ years of data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, Matlab) experience
• 3+ years of machine learning/statistical modeling data analysis tools and techniques, and parameters that affect their performance experience
• Experience applying theoretical models in an applied environment
• 2+ years of data scientist experience

Responsibilities

• Establish scalable, automated processes for large-scale data analyses and model development
• Use advanced causal inference methodologies to estimate learning curves and training content effectiveness
• Perform statistical analysis and hypothesis/A/B testing
• Implement new statistical or ML methodologies to solve business problems
• Present deep dives to stakeholders and influence strategy
