Job summary

Nicklaus Children’s Health System seeks a Data Scientist II to drive analytics across EHR, genomics, and ERP data. You will apply machine learning, NLP, and AI techniques to structured and unstructured healthcare data, building predictive models for precision medicine and clinical decision support.

Collaborate with clinicians, researchers, and IT to operationalize models, ensure HIPAA compliance, and document methodologies for reproducibility and impactful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Data Science, Statistics, CS, Mathematics, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics) required.
• 3-5 years of data science experience, preferably in healthcare or life sciences.
• Experience with healthcare data (EHR, clinical databases, ERP data) and applying analytics to real-world healthcare problems.

Responsibilities

• Apply ML, NLP, and AI to analyze structured and unstructured healthcare data.
• Develop predictive models using multi-omics data to support precision medicine.
• Build scalable data pipelines and connect complex healthcare data using graph technologies.
• Collaborate with data engineering and IT to operationalize models for real-time decision support.
• Develop and validate models for clinical decision support and risk stratification.
