Job summary

Nicklaushealth in Miami seeks a data engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and transformation algorithms for enterprise analytics. You will manage data integration, storage monitoring, and distribution across cloud and on-prem environments to enable advanced analytics, data mining, and insights for clinical and research use.

The role requires experience with SQL, Python, ETL/ELT, and data warehousing, plus familiarity with HL7/FHIR, RESTful APIs, and data visualization

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in IT/ Biomedical Informatics/ CS or Engineering with 2–4 years of Clinical IT/Research experience or a Master’s with 2+ years.
• 1–3 years of data engineering and integration experience.
• 1–3 years of data management in cloud environments (Azure or AWS).
• 3–5 years of experience with database schemas, querying Oracle PL/SQL or SQL Server databases.
• 1–3 years of ETL/ELT experience.
• Experience with Python, SQL, SSIS, or Informatica for ETL/data transformations.
• Experience with APIs/RESTful Web Services.
• Experience with XML, JSON, HL7, or FHIR.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Designs end-to-end scalable processes to ingest, integrate, and analyze large data volumes from dispersed sources.
• Integrates, builds, and maintains data pipelines and transformation algorithms for analytics.
• Oversees data integration, storage monitoring, and data distribution across on-premise and cloud environments.
• Engages with IT, research, and medical staff to communicate requirements.
• ETL/ELT dataset integration with various tools and datasets.
• Writes complex queries against large, disparate data sources.
• Monitors ETL/ELT performance and enforces security compliance.
• Deploys analytics programs, machine learning and statistical methods for predictive insights.
• Leverages ML patterns for data discovery and automation.
