Job summary

SOSi seeks a Data Scientist to provide data analysis, including data graphics and dashboards, to help identify challenges and opportunities for Sponsor's customers. The role leverages Python/R and Tableau to transform unstructured data into actionable insights for production, resources and personnel decisions.

The candidate will assess new data sources, preprocess data, analyze large datasets, and develop AI/ML models.

Qualifications

• Experience with DBeaver, PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL and Mongo.
• Proficiency in Python or R and data analysis libraries.
• Experience with time-series data and time-series analysis.
• Version control with Git.
• Tableau for customer-facing graphics.
• Cloud services and APIs experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess the efficiency and accuracy of new data sources.
• Preprocess structured and unstructured Sponsor data.
• Analyze large amounts of raw data to provide insights.
• Create, modify, and improve statistical and/or AI/ML models.
• Document and communicate methods and findings using Sponsor's formats and templates.
• Create data visualizations or interactive dashboards and deliver presentations.
• Provide technical education to staff on an ad-hoc basis.
• Apply data-driven analytic techniques to augment Sponsor's methods and communicate findings.
