Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Data Scientist 1 to develop practical data science, NLQ, and agentic AI solutions for complex healthcare problems. You will collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and clinical partners to frame problems, build reliable models, and deliver AI-enabled solutions that improve access to information and reduce manual work.

Qualificações

• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data exploration, feature engineering, and modeling.
• Experience with statistical analysis, ML methods, and NLP in healthcare contexts.
• Strong communication and ability to translate technical results to non-technical partners.
• Experience with AI tooling, agentic workflows, and data governance in analytics projects.

Responsabilidades

• Consult with business, clinical, and technical partners to clarify needs and define hypotheses.
• Use SQL and Python to explore data, engineer features, and validate results.
• Develop grounded NLQ applications and agentic workflows using ML and NLP techniques.
• Evaluate models for accuracy, latency, safety, and user value; propose improvements.
• Analyze privacy-approved data to identify segments and develop evaluation cases.
• Support experiments, pilots, and cohort analyses to measure impact.
• Apply responsible AI, security, de-identification, and retention practices.
• Use approved coding assistants and help turn repeatable work into reusable prompts or workflows.
• Develop modeling datasets, features, metrics, tests, and monitoring controls.
• Present findings and recommendations clearly to enable informed decisions.
