Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Data Scientist 1 to build practical data science, NLQ, and agentic AI solutions for healthcare problems. You will collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business partners to frame problems, develop models, and deliver AI-enabled insights that improve access to trusted information and reduce manual work.

You will contribute across the solution lifecycle, from data prep to deployment and monitoring, studying NLQ usage to drive product

Qualifications

• Masters' or Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of work experience in data science, analytics, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL with hands-on ML/ NLP experience.
• Experience with NLQ, agentic AI, and deploying models in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Clarify healthcare problems with business and clinical partners and frame testable hypotheses.
• Develop data science models, NLQ applications, and agentic workflows using ML/NLP techniques.
• Evaluate model and agent outputs for accuracy, safety, and user value, and iteratively improve.
