Job summary

Hoffman Construction Co of America is seeking a motivated Data Scientist to join its Data team in an entry-level role. You will work with large construction datasets, applying statistical and machine learning techniques to uncover hidden trends and provide actionable insights for the corporation and project teams.

Responsibilities include data collection, cleaning, visualization, and communicating results using Python tools or Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, CS, statistics, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Five (5)+ years of professional data analysis and BI reporting experience, including statistical analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and organize structured and unstructured data from various sources.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to clean/transform data and identify patterns and trends.
• Build and evaluate basic predictive models using machine learning algorithms.
• Create visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights effectively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
• Document processes, methodologies, and findings for future reference.
• Stay updated on emerging data science tools and techniques.
• Participate in the creation of semantic models in MS Fabric and Power BI for use in AI efforts.
• Participate in reports and dashboards using Power BI, Excel, Smartsheet, and other tools.
• Aggregate and analyze data from diverse sources, ensuring insights and synthesis.
• Detect inconsistencies and correct data issues.
• Deliver weekly and monthly reports to executives and stakeholders.
• Educate teams on leveraging reporting tools and drive data-driven decisions.
