Amazon Music's DISCO CPT team seeks a Data Scientist to accelerate customer growth through advanced analytics, experimentation, and scalable models. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, and BI to deliver insights and artifacts that power personalized experiences.

The role emphasizes leading science solutions across multiple stakeholders, building causal models, and delivering measurable improvements in engagement and retention at scale.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of data querying languages (e.g. SQL) and scripting languages (e.g. Python) experience.
• 2+ years of data/research scientist, statistician or quantitative analyst experience in an internet-based company with big data sources.
• 1+ years of creating or contributing to mathematical textbooks, research papers, or educational content.
• Master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent experience in STEM.
• Ph.D. in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) is preferred.
• Knowledge of statistical packages and business intelligence tools (SPSS, SAS, S‑PLUS, or R).
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts and their application to reasoning and problem-solving.
• Experience with clustered data processing (Hadoop, Spark, MapReduce, Hive).
• Experience working with or evaluating AI systems.
• Experience applying quantitative analysis to solve business problems and make data-driven decisions.

Responsabilités

• Lead experimentation, measurement, and analytical modeling for product insights.
• Develop structural and predictive models to drive user engagement and retention.
• Bridge science, analytics, and engineering to inform product investments and strategy.
• Partner with product managers to translate business questions into actionable science projects.
• Influence product roadmaps with data-driven insights into customer behavior patterns.
