Data Scientist – Drug Product Development

Founded over 30 years ago in Nantes, France, Eurofins has grown to 58,000 staff across 900 laboratories in over 54 countries, offering over 200,000 analytical methods to evaluate biological substances and products.

We are seeking a candidate to join a dynamic team of scientists and engineers supporting global drug product development through material characterization and process modeling.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop mathematical models using internal data or published literature, applying mechanistic or machine learning techniques.
  • Create an internal repository of process data from literature using appropriate data retrieval methods.
  • Develop digital tools for automated data analysis of internal datasets.
  • Conduct discrete element modeling of physical processes relevant to drug product design and development.
Qualifications:

B.S. in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields with 0-3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, or M.S. in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields.

Skills:
  • Fluency in Python or Matlab programming.
  • Experience handling large datasets and developing mathematical models is preferred.
  • Experience with ODE and PDE applications is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience as a data engineer in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience developing models from large pharmaceutical process data sets.
  • Strong knowledge of chemical and material sciences as applied to pharmaceutical development.
Additional Details:

Position is Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, with overtime as needed. Candidates living within commuting distance of Ridgefield, CT are encouraged to apply.
