OGC is a boutique research and consulting agency specializing in data-driven strategy, quantitative analytics, and Customer Experience (CX) program design and optimization. We work with some of the world’s largest organizations across various industries, including Financial Services, Retail, Telecommunications, Hospitality, and Software, helping them gain deep customer insights, develop actionable strategies, and improve processes.

We are seeking a full-time Data Scientist to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a dynamic, self-starting individual to become part of a high-performing team, engaging in hands-on research and consulting to help clients uncover growth opportunities and enhance customer satisfaction.

This is a remote, full-time position requiring working East Coast hours.

About the role

The ideal candidate is bright, independent, detail-oriented, with a strong analytical and technical background, passionate about leveraging data for strategic decisions and business improvements.

You will work directly with clients, delivering projects to senior stakeholders and applying your analytical skills to Market Research and Customer Experience, collaborating with global Fortune 500 companies.

Responsibilities:

1. Support the execution of quantitative research and consulting projects from start to finish, including project design, financial modeling, data analysis, and report building.
2. Communicate with clients, building and delivering insights-based reports.
3. Develop data science solutions, including building, deploying, and automating models (classification, regression, forecasting), transforming large data volumes, researching new data sources and analytical tools, and providing expert guidance on analytical techniques.
4. Collaborate on interdisciplinary projects using math, statistics, and machine learning to derive insights and solve real-world problems across various sectors.
5. Translate complex models into user-friendly visualizations.

Minimum qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree from a top university in Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
2. At least 2 years of data analysis experience.
3. Strong technical skills, with proficiency in Python (required), SQL, Tableau, Qlik.
4. Experience with statistical packages like R, STATA, or SPSS.
5. High attention to detail and ability to work independently and in teams.
6. Excellent communication skills in English.
7. Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, charts, VBA.
8. Ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and present findings effectively.
9. Strong design sense for structuring PowerPoint presentations.
10. Familiarity with CX tools (Medallia, Qualtrics) and experience with Conjoint studies are advantages.
