Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Data Scientist/Data Analyst to support Navy mission objectives by developing Palantir Foundry data pipelines, dashboards, and AI-enabled workflows. This on-site role is based in McLean, VA and requires ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build, enhance, and sustain Palantir Foundry data pipelines, ontologies, and workflows that support operational readiness, logistics efficiency, and decision-quality analytics.
• Develop and deliver mission-aligned Foundry demos and decision-support tools to help Navy leaders visualize operational challenges, evaluate courses of action, and adopt modern data capabilities.
• Increase analytic velocity across Fleet operations by replacing manual reporting processes with automated, scalable workflows using Python, Power BI, and Power Apps.
• Create dashboards, AI-enabled workflows, and performance metrics used to assess Fleet capacity, maintenance readiness, supply chain performance, and operational tempo.
• Integrate ML models, APIs, and automated pipelines into mission-tailored Foundry environments so users can rapidly access and act on decision-ready data.
• Collaborate with Navy program managers, Fleet users, and technical teams to translate mission needs into actionable technical plans that improve readiness reporting and mission execution.
• Support Agile development cycles and DevSecOps processes to maintain secure, dependable, and scalable mission analytics aligned with Navy digital modernization priorities.
• Facilitate training, workshops, and data-literacy engagements to strengthen analytic proficiency and AI readiness across Navy user groups and mission communities.

The role is onsite in McLean, VA and requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Federal/DoD SECRET clearance.

Role Focus

This position advances operational readiness and decision-quality analytics by improving how mission data is ingested, transformed, modeled, and delivered in mission-tailored Palantir Foundry environments. You will help replace manual reporting with automated workflows and enable faster access to decision-ready insights for Sailors, analysts, and operational commands.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD “SECRET” security clearance; candidates must obtain approved adjudication prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
• Candidates with an ACTIVE “SECRET” clearance or higher-level clearance are preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in data science or a related quantitative field.
• 1+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, automation, or AI/ML development.
• Strong proficiency in Python including NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, and Matplotlib, with workflow automation experience.
• Experience developing automated dashboards, pipelines, and mission-oriented reporting solutions using Power BI, Power Apps, and Python.
• Familiarity with SQL, GitHub, and modern version control practices.
• Demonstrated consulting competencies including mission translation, strategic communication, stakeholder engagement, and executive-level briefings.

• Experience building API-enabled data solutions and integrating third-party systems to enhance operational insights.
• Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks such as NIST 800-53.
• Experience delivering training or large-scale upskilling programs focused on data, analytics, or AI literacy across mission environments.
