Job summary

Confido in New York City is seeking a Data Scientist to build production-grade forecasting models that inform pricing, demand, and promotion strategies. You will work with real-world data spanning hundreds of brands and integrate insights directly into the product alongside the AI/ML engineering team.

You’ll apply time-series and regression techniques, validate results, and communicate uncertainty to stakeholders while shipping models into production.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on data science experience with real-world data.
• Strong foundations in regression, time-series methods, experiment design, and uncertainty quantification.
• Fluent in Python and SQL; comfortable with a modern data stack (Snowflake, dbt).
• Ability to explain models to non-technical stakeholders and defend them to ML engineers.

Responsibilities

• Build models for demand and sales forecasting across thousands of time-series data.
• Assess promotion effectiveness by measuring lift, price elasticity, and cannibalization.
• Ensure data quality and implement evaluation checks as data flows into production.
