Job summary

REPAY is seeking a Data Scientist to design, build, and operationalize intelligent systems that extract value from data and power ML- and AI-driven capabilities across fintech products.

This role partners with Product, BI, and Data Engineering to establish standards, architect scalable AI systems, and deliver measurable business impact while evolving in a fast-paced fintech environment. Travel occasionally to support client workshops and solution design sessions.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years designing, building and operationalizing end-to-end data, ML, NLP and AI systems in production.
• Strong programming in Python & SQL with production-quality code.
• Hands-on experience with LLM-based systems (RAG, prompt engineering, model evaluation).
• Exposure to Databricks, AWS Bedrock, SageMaker and cloud AI/ML services.

Responsibilities

• Deliver actionable, data-driven insights and reporting to inform business decisions across products and AI systems.
• Design and maintain scalable data-to-AI pipelines including ingestion, transformation, feature engineering, model training and deployment.
• Develop AI-driven solutions that improve product and operational metrics (revenue uplift, cost reduction, satisfaction).
• Own AI solution design with Product, Engineering, BI and Data teams, translating requirements into scalable architectures.
• Provide governance, testing, monitoring and retraining for production AI systems.
