Job summary

Huntington is seeking a Data Scientist to apply ML, NLP, and AI to design, develop, and deploy models that generate business value across the enterprise. You will collaborate with Product Owners, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and business stakeholders across on-premises and AWS environments.

The role requires a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience and proficiency in Python or R and SQL. AWS exposure (SageMaker, Lambda, S3, Athena) and hands-on ML/NLP work are expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science, statistics, economics or related fields with 1+ years' experience or bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in Python (preferred) or R, and familiarity with SQL and modern data science tools.
• Foundational understanding of machine learning concepts and model development.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and stakeholders to support AI development lifecycle across on-premises and AWS environments.
• Demonstrate initiative, accountability, and clear communication while managing project tasks and risks.
• Apply analytical and automation techniques to improve processes and develop reusable tools and assets.
• Support evaluation and adoption of emerging ML, cloud, and AI technologies to improve team capabilities.
