Job summary

Planet Technologies, a leading Microsoft services provider to the public sector, seeks a Data Scientist to support high-impact federal projects in Washington, DC. You will build dashboards, ETL pipelines, ML models, and AI-driven insights across Power BI and related tools.

Requirements include 5+ years in data science, expertise with Power Platform, Power BI, ML techniques, and a Top-Secret clearance. On-site work is expected five days a week with federal project experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years of work experience in data science or related field.
• Proficient with Power Platform, SharePoint, and InfoPath.
• Experience creating and managing Power BI reports.
• Strong understanding of ML techniques and algorithms.
• Experience with data science toolkits (R, Weka, NumPy, MATLAB) and BI tools (Power BI, SPSS).
• Active Top-Secret clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Builds, maintains, and improves dashboards, applications, and automations.
• Connects to APIs, system-to-system connections, and manual data transfers for ETL.
• Builds predictive risk models using statistical analysis.
• Applies AI/ML to extract insights from unstructured documentation.
• Develops and carries out full-service data calls, including data normalization and visualization.
• Creates business intelligence analysis and visualizations for management.
• Improves methodologies and tools for risk assessment.
• Researches and recommends business data storage/integration solutions.
• Develops user guides and documentation using Power BI
• Incorporates data science tools (SQL, R, Python, etc.) into services.
