Job summary

System One is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst for Washington, DC to design and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports. The role is contract-based with onsite work and a 40-hour week, requiring strong BI skills and a proven data-driven mindset.

You will build robust data models, perform in-depth analyses, collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs, and ensure governance and security compliance across Power BI environments. Experience with DAX, Power Query, and SQL is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in BI, data analytics, or data engineering.
• Proficiency in Power BI Desktop and Power BI service, including tenant administration, RLS, and workspace management.
• Strong data modeling, Power Query, ETL, and advanced DAX.
• Experience troubleshooting performance, refresh, queries, and usability in Power BI.
• Strong SQL querying and data validation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for business users and executives.
• Develop data models with Power Query and DAX, including relationships and measures.
• Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Translate findings into actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with teams to define KPIs and BI requirements.
• Manage Power BI Service environments, workspaces, apps, and RLS.
• Connect data from SQL, Excel, Azure, APIs for unified reporting.
• Optimize report performance and data refresh schedules.
