Job summary

Chevron seeks a Data Scientist to translate business opportunities into data, AI, and ML solutions that deliver measurable value. You will frame problems, prototype AI-enabled products, and support scalable adoption across Upstream, Midstream, Downstream, and enterprise functions.

The role requires strong Python skills, Azure familiarity, and expertise in data quality, governance, and responsible AI practices, with 5+ years of applied analytics experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience applying advanced analytics techniques.

Responsibilities

• Identify and frame opportunities to apply data science, ML, AI, GenAI-enabled workflows, and related technologies to improve decision-making, workflow efficiency, automation, and business outcomes.
• Define expected business value, success measures, and adoption considerations for proposed opportunities.
• Identify needed data and appropriate technology to solve identified business challenges.
• Clean data and develop and test models.
• Establish the lifecycle management process for models.
• Engage stakeholders to communicate progress, quantify impact and support adoption.
